  • BUF Quarterback #17
Allen’s wrist was “heavily taped” post-game after he awkwardly landed on it in the process of scoring a touchdown. He’s hopefully dealing with swelling and little more. Unless an MRI or X-ray turns up an unexpected break or ligament issue, fantasy managers don’t seem to have much to sweat with Allen’s Week 2 status.
  • BUF Tight End #86
Well, that was not the game Kincaid fantasy managers wanted to start the season. The talented tight end was on the field often for the Bills, but he was also used to run block at times, and Josh Allen completed passes to 10 different receivers, so this offense is going to spread the ball around. We still expect Kincaid to have a good fantasy season, and there will be some huge games, but he will be inconsistent from week-to-week given his role in this offense.
  • BUF Wide Receiver #13
Hollins wears Gabe Davis’s old number 13 jersey and there was a lot of similarity in their roles in this Buffalo offense after one week. Hollins was on the field often for the Bills due to his skills as a blocker, playing the second-most snaps of any wide receiver on the team, but was also a key target in the red zone given his 6'4" frame. He likely won’t emerge as a consistent fantasy contributor but given how many snaps he’ll play each week, don’t be surprised if he has some big games.
  • BUF Wide Receiver #10
Every time the Bills needed a big play, they went to Shakir. The 24-year-old bounced off tacklers on multiple catches, including on his 11-yard touchdown catch where he crawled over a defender and into the end zone. The Bills are going to spread the ball around this year, which will make it hard to predict which receiver has a big game, but Shakir appears to be the most talented of the bunch and has the trust of Josh Allen. The downside is that he played the third-most snaps of any Bills receiver in this game at just 53.4 percent because the team loves how good of a blocker Mack Hollins is. Until that snap share rises, Shakir is a boom-or-bust WR.
  • BUF Wide Receiver #0
Coleman may not have had a gaudy statline, but he did lead the Bills in targets and receiving yards in Week 1 and played the most snaps of any wide receiver at 72.4 percent. Josh Allen also completed passes to 10 different receivers, which figures to be a huge part of the Bills’ passing offense with their new-look wide receiver corps. Coleman did make a highlight reel contested catch in blanket coverage down the sideline for 28 yards, which is exactly what the Bills drafted him to do. He doesn’t figure to put up big fantasy totals unless he finds the end zone, but it was a strong first showing for the rookie.
  • BUF Running Back #22
Davis looked good on his touches, running with power and showing strong hands as a receiver. However, he was not used as much in the red zone as many expected given how many red zone carries Latavius Murray saw in Buffalo last season. We imagine Davis’s role will grow as the season goes on, and given how good he looked on the touches he did have, Davis is a fine stash in fantasy leagues.
  • BUF Running Back #4
Cook getting 22 touches is a great sign for his fantasy value. The other running backs on the team accounted for just six touches, and Cook was even used three times inside the 10-yard-line. He was unable to punch those runs in, and Josh Allen unsurprisingly finished them off, but it sure seems like Cook is going to get more work this season. He also didn’t drop a pass on Sunday while providing a valuable outlet option for Allen. This could be a big year for James Cook.
  • BUF Quarterback #17
Allen was playing elite football all game. His only real mistake was on the first drive of the game where he held onto the ball way too long which led to a strip-sack. Other than that, Allen was composed in the pocket and accurate while completing throws to 10 different receivers and making defenders miss in the open field when he did decide to run. The Bills did use James Cook more in the red zone than they had in previous seasons, but Allen remained very much a primary option on the ground near the goal line. It should be noted that Allen did hurt his left hand on his final touchdown run and was seen wincing when he was taking snaps from under center. It is unlikely to keep him out of Week 2’s game against the Dolphins, but is a situation to monitor going forward because it might mean more shotgun snaps for the Bills.
  • BUF Defensive Back #7
It’s a brutal blow for a Bills defense that is without Matt Milano and is also trying to break in two new starting safeties with Micah Hyde and Jordan Poyer gone. In the first half, the Cardinals attacked the Bills defense with passes to their running backs and tight ends. That could continue with Johnson out.
  • BUF Defensive Back #7
Johnson was injured when he collided with teammate Taylor Rapp while making a tackle on the first drive of the game. He was able to jog into the locker room and Cam Lewis replaced him in the game. With Matt Milano already out for most of the season, the Bills can’t afford to lose Johnson, who is one of the best slot cornerbacks in the NFL.
